Impressions I - Vintage Prints

We are pleased to present Impressions I, a curated collection of vintage etchings, lithographs, woodblocks, linocuts, and serigraphs, showcasing the artistry of regional New York State artists. This exhibition celebrates the beauty and craftsmanship of printmaking, a medium that bridges the gap between technical precision and emotional resonance.

The theme Impressions explores the dual meaning of the term. It speaks of the unique physical process of creating prints, where each piece carries the literal impression of its technique, the pressure used on an etching plate or the textures of a woodblock. It also reflects the intangible: the feelings and interpretations these artworks evoke in their viewers.

From intricate details to striking simplicity, this collection invites you to ponder the personal and historical impressions these works leave behind. Join us as we honor the legacy and innovation of printmaking traditions. Impressions II – Contemporary Print Perspectives will be the counterpart to this exhibition Sept. 12 – Oct. 11, 2025
