Meibohm Fine Arts is proud to announce an exhibition featuring over twenty paintings by Alexis Jean Fournier (1865-1948), showcasing diverse periods of his illustrious career across Minnesota, France, and Western New York. Fournier, a pivotal figure in the American Arts and Crafts movement, embarked on his artistic journey in Minneapolis, Minnesota in the late 1800s. Inspired by the Barbizon artists, Fournier made seven transformative trips to France, shaping his distinctive style and vision.

Renowned as the Court Painter of the Roycroft, Fournier's legacy spans over forty-five years, leaving an indelible mark on the artistic landscape of East Aurora, New York. His flamboyant spirit and enduring influence resonate throughout this extraordinary collection. In addition to Fournier's luminous landscapes, the exhibition will feature works by other esteemed Roycroft artists, offering a glimpse into this vibrant artistic community.
