After the winter solstice the days slowly lengthen, but it may take artists’ eyes and sensibilities to help us appreciate those tedious hours of low light between sunset and sunrise. This theme is explored in a group invitational exhibit entitled “Dusk to Dawn” at Meibohm Fine Arts. The exhibition begins Saturday, January 12 with a 10:00-4:00 open house style artists’ reception, and will continue until February 16, during regular gallery hours.

Seventeen respected regional artists have interpreted this daily time span when evening begins to blur the divisions of light and dark, the moon spreads shadows over a landscape, or morning casts a different lens on our perception of color. The body of works range multiple mediums and techniques and offer innovative observations of the ordinary.
