Mario Mariani (Italian, 1907- ) was born in Naples, Italy in 1907. He studied art and architecture in Rome, Italy. After practicing for several years as an architect, he turned completely to painting. He traveled extensively and is primarily known for his cityscape & street scenes of Paris, the rustic colorful parts of Italy and surrounding Naples countryside, and canals of Venice. He also had two sons who were both accomplished artists, G. Mariani (Italian, 20th C.-) and V. Mariani (Italian, 20th C.-). Mario maintained his gallery & art studio in Naples, Italy where he represented not only his own work, but that of his two sons, as well as other represented artists.
