Artist statement:
Using water media and mono print processes, I build layers of color which suggest a space. Each layer captures traces left by the water moving across the surface. Even though a gesture may be repeated, it will not appear the same way twice. This quality of transformative repetition recalls how we frame our memory of place. The forms generate a type of map, recording the channels from which the image is developed. Like mooring lines which provide stability while allowing for motion, Spring Lines come into sight.
