Fran Noonan (American, 1954-) was born in 1954, and has lived in Buffalo, NY, all his life. As the seventh of eight children, Fran was inspired by the Van Gogh exhibit at the Albright Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, NY. His mother immediately bought him an oil painting set and he continued to paint through his high school years. Fran also enjoyed classical piano lessons, and today is a member of the Chromatic Connection, performing regularly at various recitals.
At age 49, with his family raised, Fran returned to oil painting. It was with some regret that this renewed interest came after the death of his uncle, John Quinn, a member and past president of the Buffalo Society of Artists, who had urged him to paint again. With the memory of John's encouragement and the inheritance of his art supplies, Fran's path back into the art world resumed as if no time had elapsed. Fran is a member of the Buffalo Society of Artists and the Western New York Artists' Group.
